Static Moon was first born in 2001 with the idea of providing customers with a wide range of New Age materials to suit their personal and spiritual needs. It was to be a physical store situated in North Carolina, but situations changed and Static Moon was put on hold.

The idea was picked up again in 2003 as Moss Gifts, which centered more on handmade, all-natural bath and beauty products. Moss Gifts was online for over a year, carrying Static Moon brand products, when I realized that I wanted to go back to my roots and reopen Static Moon as an online store. The valued customers of Moss Gifts gave much input on what they wanted to see with the opening of Static Moon, but I wanted to make sure to keep the original spark of Static Moon alive.

The recipe began at the heart of the original idea, with New Age products such as incense, jewelry, and magical items. Add a pinch of Moss Gifts' all-natural bath and beauty products and a handful of items inspired by my love for crafting in general, and there you have the new and improved Static Moon.

A physical location was quickly needed, as Static Moon had begun taking over my home. In October of 2005 I set up at Sumter Mall here in South Carolina, on the weekends, as a trial run. The demand was overwhelming, so in January of 2006 I opened up a permanent location -- or so I thought. The place I had chosen was about the size of a walk in closet, and after only being open for 3 months, I badly needed more room. We packed everything up and moved a few blocks to a building 4 times the size of my first location, and things couldn't be better. More room meant expanding the inventory to include books, clothes, a wall of herbs, divination items and so much more, and makes it so much easier to have workshops, do readings and have guest speakers and practitioners.

Static Moon is owned and operated by me, Morgan Moss. I have been creating and crafting for as long as I can remember, from painting, to jewelry making, to cards and scrapbooks, to woodburning, to lotions and potions, and much more! I have been selling my creations off and on for about 5 years now after friends and family requested certain items. I have attended many craft shows and bazaars with my handcrafted items, and I even did home parties for a while. I just enjoy creating in general, and love to share my works with others! My newest interest, which actually stems from a childhood interest, is photography, and many of my prints grace the walls of Static Moon. I am also the in-store tarot reader, having read cards now for about 5 years. I'm pretty skilled in dream interpretations as well, and have been studying that for over 10 years now.
